Crystal Mountains

Crystal Mountains is the second coldest region on Sarvannia. It is also by far the hardest region to survive in. This is because food and fresh water are near impossible to find among the steep and icy mountains that make up this region. It is therefore highly recommended that you bring your own supplies.

Despite its brutal terrain it is not difficult to find small towns and encampments scattered across this entire region. The main characteristic this region is known for is the very same reason why so many are willing to endure its harsh conditions. Crystal Mountains is overflowing with fine crystals and gems, some so rare the countless dangers this region possesses are willingly embraced, if they are noticed at all. It is also well-known for its mineral deposits, especially along Limestone Pass.

Limestone Pass is a narrow valley that was carved long ago by the now much smaller salt water river that runs along its southern edge, Pearl River. As a result of its beginnings, Limestone Pass is lined with towering cliffs of fine white limestone that sparkle like rainbows when the light hits them just right, hence the name. This is one of the only places within this region where it is forbidden to mine its precious treasures. It is because of this that Limestone Pass has remained the safest route through Crystal Mountains.
